Little updates coming together
I've got the first part of the voice acting in now, Thermplugg's voice by Maladius. He recorded it at 2am, so it's a little sleepy in the battle scenes, which will have to be redone, but the rest is ready to go. Richeron, I need to poke you for your Mekkatorque voice, and Ormsby please fix your damn mic!
I hope you like my new logo, Snoman has let me have his guns from counterstrike to use in the gnomeregan movie, and I couldn't resist putting one on my Taly blood elf for the top of this blog. I'm also going to try and slip in a cameo appearance by the baron soosdon gnome-vibrator, hehe.
There is a new contest open up at warcraftmovies.com and I'm slowly starting to work on an entry. A little like the last contest entry, it will be a vague storyline dictated by the music. Very Very Cheesy, which is what Christmas is about, right?

Gnomeregan Teaser
I released a very short gnomeregan teaser today on WCM.com - hopefully it will be accepted despite not actually being a 'movie'.

It was any old excuse to get out of compositing trogg action in slow-mo. There are only so many ways a trogg can smack you in the face, you know?
I also found a lovely font today, called Butter, courtesty of Sveth of Numen who did the rather flashy Archimonde movie: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=49460
Here is another link for you, Olibith's latest little movie, a parody of the Omen trailer: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=50665 I can tell you for free that I'm glad he didn't submit it to the Halloween contest, otherwise there would have been no prize for Taly!
Olibith has agreed to allow me to use his char briefly in the end credits/ out takes at the end of the Gnomeregan movie. Bless him, thank you.
Here is also something from Pinkhair, which is brilliant. http://stage6.divx.com/user/Pinkhair/video/1866580/

widescreen.avi
I started filming scenes inside Gnomeregan. It's very exciting, seeing it alive on my screen.
Now I have to settle down to crafting the individual scenes.

Really loving the reaction to 'Creepin In'. It took a couple of weeks to make. My favourite scene is the undead walking across scholo, with a wolf shadow. Olibith taught me to do shadows about 5 minutes before I filmed that scene. My least favourite scene is the blood elf creeping behind a balcony. It took me about half an hour to cut that balcony out and place it over the top as foreground, pixel by pixel!
Also, thank you to all the guys at #machinima who left such supportive comments on WCM.com, it's really encouraging. You're really giving me the momentum I need to complete this gnomeregan action/disaster movie.
Gnomeregan screenshots
I put together some screenshots from the edited gnomeregan into a little movie. Some of the changes are very subtle, and some are very obvious. I am hoping to have this completed for Christmas or soon after.
Still looking for more voice actors!
